The Roles in BonusBank

You've created your account, accepted the invite (or created your own Space) and you know the Team or Teams you belong to, but… what role do you play in each Space? And in which Team or Teams? What roles actually are available?

We currently make a distinction within BonusBank between 5 different profiles, both at the level of the Space and the Teams. These levels have been created in such a way that each company, according to its org chart or organizational structure, has the opportunity to assign the most appropriate "role" to its employees.

To show what each user role can and cannot do, we´ve made a summary table. Here you can see all actions that can be performed per role (the columns), within the App.

Thus we see that the "Owner" has permission to perform any of the 13 actions that determine user profiles and their functioning, while on the other hand a "Member" has access to all the information of its Space/s and Team/s as well as public and individual information; and is allowed to make transfers to colleagues or managers, as long as the type of Token permits (due to the configuration).

It must be said that you see the default configuration here that allows each company to assign the appropriate role to each of its employees. In the event that a company needs a larger number of profiles or wishes to grant different permissions, the logic and configuration shown here can be changed.

Finally, a brief overview of the 5 types of users shown. It is recommended that you use each of the profiles in the following contexts:

  • Owner. The person who sets up the Space or Team automatically becomes the owner. It is a role that is automatically assigned by the app and that gives access to all actions (obviously whoever creates a Space or Team also wants and has permission to perform all activities)

  • Administrator. A type of user who enjoys the same benefits as the owner, despite not having generated the Space or Team. In principle, this role is intended for a very limited number of people and may even not be used.

  • Manager. One of the common roles when empowering those in charge of the companies. A manager may take any action, except removing spaces or teams, or changing spaces (yet they can create both new spaces and teams).

  • Team Leader. This is a more limited management role, as it is limited to the Team level and with certain restrictions.

  • Member As mentioned above, this is the role of the majority of the users of the app and with which one can see private and public information, and transfer Tokens to colleagues as long as the type of Token allows it.
